Tzula (Dikhu) Green Zone Project Launched

Tzula (Dikhu) Green Zone Project jointly taken up by Longsa and Ungma village of Mokokchung district was launched on Friday. The project was formally declared open by Alemtemshi, additional chief secretary and development commissioner. He said declaration of Tzula Green Zone project by the two villages was a small step towards preserving bio diversity. He appealed villagers to realize importance of preserving bio-diversity and assured assistance from government to make their joint efforts a movement which would serve as an example to others in the state.

According to an official bulletin, DC Mokokchung Lithrongla G. Chishi who also spoke on the occasion called upon the two villagers to make their project a “shining example” for every Nagas to follow. 

Earlier, Alemtemshi released about two lakh fingerlings to Dikhu River to mark launching of Dikhu Green Zone project and unveiled the monument of the project.
